Solar Decathlon Europe

The Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 (SDE21/22) is an urban decathlon for sustainable building and living that took place in Wuppertal in June 2022. One of the ten disciplines of the competition was „Urban Mobility“ which was supervised by the Chair for Public Transport and Mobility Management. This discipline was focused on finding a way to ensure that mobility needs are met in a ressource-efficient manner. At SDE21/22, 16 university teams from eleven countries conceptualised, planned and constructed a building that puts innovative ideas for sustainable, energy-efficient and socially acceptable architecture into practice and takes into account the mobility of its occupants.
